 Kitbashing a custom Cammy from Streetfighter
I fell in love with the character of Cammy White from the Street Fighter game the second I first saw her . I'm not quite sure just what it was about the character that was so enthralling , aside from the simple fact that she just looked so damn cool . When the Men With dolls forum initiated the Kitbash/Custom of the Month contest I figured this would be a great opportunity to do up a Cool Girl Custom that paid a bit of homage to this ass kicking Good Girl . Drawing Inspiration From Kylie Minogue  Cammy's costume from the game is awesome , so much so that I used it as inspiration when I created an alternative costume design for AC Comics' " Tara the Jungle Girl " for the one shot story " Deadly Quarry " that appeared in Femforce # 90 . For the MWD contest however , I decided to use as much of the bits and pieces from my parts bin to recreate my Cammy custom and so I decided to play more towards the film version of Cammy as she appeared in the 1995 film portrayed by the ultra sexy Kylie Minogue .  Capturing the essence if not the "look" .
Since I was creating a " re-envisioned " Cammy I tried to stick to the basic elements if not the actual costuming . I would define my version as an interpretation of the " Delta Red " Cammy . I used the camo fatigues from my Dragon " Jennifer " , which was a more than adequate choice I think , since they are such a nicely constructed set of pants for a female figure , emphasizing the hips and waistline . The tank top is from the Version 1 Perfect Body Redhead with the choker from the Barbie " Elektra " figure . The beret is from a repainted M & C Toys " Frontline Defenders " Power Team Elite set . Her gauntlets are repainted bracers from Dragon's " Subodai the Mongol " with clenched hands from Triad Toys' Hand Accessory set . I took her belt from the Jakks Pacific " Charlie's Angels " Lucy Liu jacket and gave her boots from the CG Kat figure . She's got the CG Destiny body and headsculpt and I made her braids from the tail of Barbie's " Dallas " horse . Attaching Cammy's Signature Braids  I may burn in hell for this , but when it came to creating the braids foir Cammy's trademark long ponytails I cut a slit thru the Destiny headsculpt and dremeled a hole into the back of her head and slid the pony tails into the head . They are held in place by tension . Not a strict interpretation of Cammy's braids by any stretch of the imagination , but it works and does have the benefit of providing a stylish alternative to her very definitive hairstyle .  Cammy didn't have a scar in the movie , but the game character does , on her left cheek ; and since I have not done a femme yet with a scar I definitely wanted to keep that aspect of the character true considering the liberties I was taking with her custom visualization . I approached it simply enough , a swatch of acrylic paint layed on just thickly enough to raise it above the surface of the headsculpts vinyl .    Cammy Gets A Triad Jacket
I decided to see how my version of Cammy might look with a jacket so I gave her the red Harley Chic jacket from Triad Toys . I found the look and cut of it suited her nicely so she got to keep it .    Cammy Got A Body Upgrade ! I created my Cammy using Takara's / BBi's Cy Girl Destiny , the CG Version 1.5 body , which is good enough but really doesn't have the range of motion in the legs to truly pull off the needs for a Cammy White figure whose primary " signature " attacks are high kicks . After completing her , I switched out her 1.5 body for a 2.0 body which gives her greater range of motion in both her arms and legs .
