![]() Despite Appearances . . . NOT a Tromaville Production! Sometimes it's just fun to keep the customizing on the lighter side . I've had my Zombie Killer Biker Lesbos From Hell " in process " for a couple of months , letting the concept stew as I accumulated the various bits 'n' pieces to give them 1:6 scale life . Having a bit of good fortune , I was able to get my grubby little paws on a custom repainted CG Aska head by An42 from the MWD Forum , bless her heart , and the project finally jelled . Despite the trend to go for firepower when dealing with hordes of the living dead , I decided my ZKBLFH would go a more practical route and use weapons that didn't require reloading and were more target specific , i.e. headsplitters . I've still a bit more work to do on them along with deciding on names . ![]() ![]() Since I was going to repaint the german helmet to better represent a novelty motorcycle helmet , I decided it would be fun to throw in a bit of a curve ball concerning the theme of these gals . Replacing the traditional Wehrmacht Unit emblems I cut and trimmed out a couple of " Hello Kitty ! " head stickers and slapped them on the sides . Nyuk, Nyuk ! ![]() The month of July marked the innauguration of a new event at the Men with Dolls forum , a monthly Kitbash contest , and I've been having a great deal of fun cobbling together entries for it . My first was a re-envisioning of Cammy White from the Street Fighter series , followed by Jedi Master Thaay Katar to challenge my Sith Witch Darth Fatalus . For the September Edition I created a third Zombie Killin' Biker Chick . Thus far , none of my kitbashes for the MWD contests have been figures that were planned from concept to finish , they all just " happened " as I played around with outfit and head combinations . Honestly , had I planned any of them , I don't think I could have gotten any better results , and I really like them all , and as I said , they've been a real hoot to create . Sadie started out her 1:6 life as a Perfect Body with the small breastplate and a Barbie Fashions denim halter and vest and a pair of really nice handmade corduroys from MWD's An42 . The combo of denim and cords was not quite working for me so I decided to take the Yamato denims from my Wild Rose " Doc " figure , trading out for the cords which look really sharp on the " Doc " / Blaze figure now . The tight fit of Sadie's new denims on the long lean PB legs worked very nicely and once I put on the Triad stiletto boots the idea of a new Zombie Killin' Biker chick began to unfold . It solidified once I put on that Barbie Elektra doo rag . ![]() Even with a nice outfit combo , and adding a length of Zombie Skull Bashin' Chain , topped off with the original release Ice's headsculpt , there was not really anything that made this kitbash " special " . As I contemplated her , standing on my coffee table and looking at me with an almost accusatory expression ; it occured to me that what she was lacking was a proper " biker chick " attitude and so I decided to give her a trademark biker salute to authority . I took one of the spare CG clenched fists from my hands bin and carefully cut out her middle finger with my X-Acto knife . I did the same to one of the CG relaxed hands , and used kneadatite to attach it to the clenched hand as well as resculpt the glove finger and fill in the gaps . Once she had her new hand , she clicked into glory and I added the handcuff as sort of a " counter culture " bracelet / failed attempt to apprehend exclamation point . The only thing now that Sadie lacked , were colors , and the only thing I knew for sure was that I did not want to give her the stereotypical Harley Davidson motif . I surfed through Google looking for image refererence for " biker chic " and discovered the Black Label Society . BLS is a metal band founded by Zakk Wylde , a former gas station worker discovered by Ozzie Osbourne , became Ozzie's guitarist and later forming the band Black Label Society . My days of listening to Heavy Metal are long over , but the name and phrenology skull icon of BLS had a great look to it , and the " core ideals " of Zakk Wylde , The Black label Society and its various Chapters of followers , their " brewtality " were so in line with my take of the personality of Sadie that I knew as soon as I saw that logo that I had found Sadie's vest emblem . Making that emblem was a different matter . Ordinarily I would simply download a graphic of the logo , size it to scale and print it out on adhesive paper . I couldn't do that unfortunately due to my printer running out of ink and I was too short on finds to replace the cartridge ( I don't remember ink cartridges being THAT expensive ! Sheesh!! ) One other consideration was that even using adhesive sticker sheets those stickers never really stick quite perfectly on fabric . It struck me that I might obtain better results using sticky backed vinyl lettering sheets , the kind you use to stick on glass ; and at 5 bucks for two sheets it was within my current budget . I hand lettered the BLS gothic letters onto the vinyl as well as drawing the skull which I then inked with Black Magic India Ink and a hawkquill pen . Trimming it out with scissors I next stuck it on the vest , the vinyl thin and supple enough to contour very nicely with the fabric of the vest . Done deal . Sadie's wallet was scratchbuilt from real leather , just cut to shape and glued together . I used snap fasteners for the buttons , pushed thru holes in the leather and used a bridle part from a Rio Rondo bit and bridle set and a length of silver chain to make the belt attachment . ![]()
