 Spurred on , so to speak , by a Cool Girl Custom of Beau Smith's Monster Huntin' Grandaughter of Marshal Wyatt Earp , the vivacious Wynonna Earp ; I began several Cool Girl Customs of Cow Girls who have since evolved into the Wild Roses : a trio of modern day vigilantes who solve problems according to the Code of the Old West , " If it MOVES , Shoot It! It was my good fortune , during my search for appropriate firearms for these "saddle sisters " , that I discovered the work of The Toy Smith , out of Murfreesboro , Tennessesee . While the 1/6 scale action figure market is dominated by military figures , thanks to the continuing popularity of Marx' Johnny West , there is a thriving subculture of western enthusiasts , Ben Perry , a master saddle maker now creates miniature saddles suitable for Thunderbolt and Commanche via Ben's Custom Tack and The Toy Smith creates 1/6 scale replica weaponry and rigs for Johnny and his trail hands . They also work equally well with Takara's Cool Girls !   Originally I had purchased Yamato's " Wild Western " series bounty hunters Hannah and Kelly to serve as weaponry fodder , and while the plastic guns were suitable , the rigs for the pistols were far below the standards of quality of Takara's Cool Girl line . The Toy Smith's rigs , on the other hand complement the ultra realism of the Cool Girls quite effectively and possess the same flair for the dramatic . Each rig is made by hand and are rugged and rustic and really bring the flavor of the Old West to life . The clincher of these replica gunbelts are the firearms themselves , being cast metal minitaures . I don't know what it is exactly , but having real metal to fill the hands of my cowgirls certainly adds something to their presense that isn't there with my plastic packing Patties . The weight and reflectivity provide a very authentic feel which is carried over to the leather holsters and cartridge belts as well . The Toy Smith doesn't stop there either , when it comes to his hand crafted miniature masterpieces . . . he gives his rigs specific " personalities " ! From John Wayne style rigs to Josey Wales , from the Lonesome Dove series to comic book pistolerro " The Two-Gun Kid " you can be assured you'll be able to find the perfect trail companion for your western hero . The hardest part may be deciding which one ! And in case you are wondering now , having had your appetites whetted , The Toy Smith's prices are all VERY affordable .
