The Next Generation Has Arrived

There's A New Block On The Block

There are a great many action figures in the Toy Marketplace ,and one of the most vital product lines is that of customizeable figures . Toy lines such as Stikfas , Xevoz , Minimates , Kubricks have expanded across the toy shelves with all manner of playsets , accessory packs and figure variety to stun the senses of even the most jaded figure collector or kid . Just as diverse is the quality , some better some worse , most however are quite acceptable for the average enthusiasts of the genre . One product line that has taken the best from all the previous examples and integrated it into their entry to the custom action figure category is a company based in New York . . . SHOCKER TOYS .

Yea, They Are Blocky . . . But They Are TOUGH!
What separates Shocker Toys' " SHOCKINIS " from all the other custom-capable miniature action figures is aesthetic of design , the only other company that has achieved such artistry is STIKFAS . While the differences in style between Stikfas and Shockinis are quite noticeable , Stikfas having a more organic shape compared to the rigid block style of a Shockini , I consider both lines exceptional with Shocker Toys edging out their nearest competitor more by cohesiveness of design and sturdiness . Shockinis are built for ACTION!
The design is the difference between both products and is central to the superiority of Shockinis over Stikfas . Not as simple as this is better because it can do this and the other can't , it's a bit more complex and subtle . Stikfas are great , no doubts there , but there are certain elements to the design that just don't mesh as completely as in a SHOCKINI . Parts of Stikfas are blocky and parts are organic , which while certainly not what I would define as a design flaw it does make them appear less cohesive as a whole . SHOCKINIS in contrast are blocky overall , certain portions have a roundness but not to the loss of that perceived " blockiness " , and that is why I consider them superior , their flow of design is consistent .
What Will You Create?

In the end , what really matters is what kind of results can be achieved for the modeller interested in creating their own action figure ? From my own standpoint I want a figure with a great range of articulation that can be customized with ease . Depending on one's skill level , all these various lines can be customized to a varying degree of sucess , Shockinis and Stikfas offering more in terms of articulation than the rest . An individual's talent and imagination will define their success moreso than the actual figure used in and of itself although I have to admit the custom work of Kelly S. Wilson a.k.a. Kel7Alpha utilizing Stikfas certainly is a great argument in their favor despite my personal preference for Shockinis .

It boils down nicely to what you get , with Stikfas you get a model kit that must be assembled . Shockinis are ready to go right out of the package , no waiting . That simple difference between STIKFAS and SHOCKINIS was all the difference I needed to base my decision on which is the superior product .
