 It has been my goal , since its initial conception in 1999 ; to make Femforce Millennium more than just a continuation of AC Comics' Femforce comic series . Due to its new format , which is completely computer and internet based , FF2K is not subject to the limitations of standard print and distribution and since I am doing it as a hobby , I am not constrained by budgetary limitations . The downside of this is that I never have the time necessary to truly devote myself to it , but as in any endeavor fueled by passion , I find time to continue plugging away at it . When I created the concept of a Scarlet Scorpion series that is heavily influenced by the martial arts genre , I owe that muse to my kitbashes of Cool Girl action figures ; in particular the characters of Kumi and Tesse , the " Pearls of Blood " . At this stage I had practically everything I needed to write an adventure , two established heroes , The Scarlet Scorpion and She-Cat along with two brand new heroines , the aforementioned Kumi and Tesse ; I did not , however , have what might arguably be the most important aspects of a superhero adventure . . . VILLAINS ! The problem that faced me now was the generation of two brand new villains capable of challenging the likes of AC Comics' stalwarts She-Cat ( a mortal possessed by the spirit of a demi-goddess ) and Scarlet Scorpion , a working class hero with paranormal strength and a remarkably fast healing ability . To make it even more difficult they would also need to be able to compete with the new heroines as well " The Pearls of Blood " . In my mind , the ideas were percolating , and on my hobby desk , utilizing various 12 inch action figures , the " Pearls of Darkness " began to take form .   Designed in counterpoint to the Pearls of Blood , the Pearls of Darkness consist of an asian and a caucasian . Where Kumi is a modern styled character and Tesse an archaic styled character , the villainesses Black Dragon and Ghost Tiger are their opposites , a westerner in modern guise and easterner in archaic form . Kumi and Tesse were created in bold basic colors of blood , hence their codename , their nemeses on the other hand were designed in the colors of darkness , those of starlight and shadow , appropriate enough for two bad girls who engage in activities that threaten the lives of normal hard-working civilians . By mere whim of fortune , the fact that Cool Girl Perfect Body series of which the character of Tesse was created stands a bit taller than the typical Cool Girls , and the fact that the Jakks Pacific Head Sculpt of Lucy Lieu that initiated the creation of Black Dragon was a bit too large for slapping on a Cool Girl body , ended up getting stuck on 21st Century Toys' " Jacqueline " figure made for a villainess that stands over 6 feet tall , a great counterpoint against Tesse , who is a bit taller than her comrade Kumi . For the character of Black Dragon , that height detail becomes an important aspect of her characterization and helps to define her . The character of Ghost Tiger is a bit more ephemeral , being a villain primarily conceived to pose a serious threat to She-Cat and designed specifically to display a feline appearance while still staying within a martial arts framework . I thought long and hard about the type of footwear she would possess , and decided to deviate from the typical armored or booted costuming in favor of a more glamorous platform open toe styling , being that she needed to be more of a " sexpot " image .  The " Pearls of Blood " storyline is very much a departure from what we have come to expect from the standard fare of a Femforce Adventure , due in part from the nature of it being set up around the character of The Scarlet Scorpion . Looking at it from the " Long Haul " POV , it still needs to be able to integrate with the Femforce as a whole , thus the villains need to be able to also stand up to the likes of Ms. Victory and Paragon . I don't want to reveal much at this stage about who Ghost Tiger and Black Dragon are , but rest assured they are unlike any villains yet encountered by the Fabulous Femforce. I will give these pertinent details about these baddies , Ghost Tiger does have a certain affinity for cats , and owes a great deal of her abilities to this feline aspect , she possesses weaponry that is both modern and technological in nature but be confident in the hint that she is " Ghost " Tiger for a reason ! Her partner in evil , Black Dragon is clothed in the colors of shadow for a reason and her stature goes far to explain her appellation of " Dragon " , as well as giving a clue as to her true nature , along with her fondness for " traditional " if not fashionable garments . The Pearls of Darkness promise to set the stage for some rather thrilling adventures featuring a Femforce for a New Millennium !
