 BBi's New Perfect Bodies : Hair Opportunities One of the nice aspects of BBi's " Perfect Body " Action Dolls is their inexpensive pricetag and generic styling , which makes it far less intimidating to customize if you are a novice . I picked up three each of the Version 2.0 PB's and chose one to practice my hair styling skills . They don't have a massive amount of hair plugs , like a Barbie , but the hair is a high quality and there is enough of it to allow modification .   Most of the hair cuts I've bestowed upon my dolls have been , and remain fairly simple ; it's best to leave the elaborate work until well after one's skills are honed . For this girl , I kept the work to a minimum , just a shortening and some mild layering . It's important to use sharp scissors and to do your trim in passes so as not to cut off too much too soon nor too much in one cut . I finger syled the hair as I cut , just to style it in the direction I wanted it to lay when finished and trimmed the outer layers a smidgen shorter than the inner layers , which helps to keep the hair looking full . Once the cut was completed I positioned the hair as i wanted it and then replaced the plastic band that came with the doll to hold the hair secure while packed back over the head . I poured hot water over the head to set the new style and while it was still wet , did a few minor tweeks to the shape .
