 |
 Creating a custom figure tends to call upon a variety of resources . Gila Garnet came into being simply because of the various bits and pieces that formed her . She began as a repaint of 21St Century's Jaqueline headsculpt and a red hair wig from WildCat Wigs . After doing a bit of hot water hair treatments and some casual hot water and icebox wave treatments along with a trim I decided to dress her up in Urika Gagarin's white hot pants romper which had the effect of giving her a rather 60's-ish look . I took it a step further by putting Kisaragi Honey's half sleeves and boots on her and that started me thinking about another girl in Roger " Race " Bannon's closet that was never seen in Jonny Quest ( musta been due to the shortness of the series ! )   Hey , inspiration comes from all sorts of subconscious imaginings . . . Jonny Quest cartoons , James Bond movies , and in particular ; one of my favorite British Tee Vee series " The Avengers " , so I start thinking about Judo fighing and Emma Peel , so rather than outfit Gila with guns , I decided to make her a martial artist . Since she had such a " retro " feel I decided to pair her up with my Race Bannon custom and create a new girl friend , and in keeping with the Jezebel Jade theme chose to name her with a classical hebrew girl's name and a gemstome as a surname : Gila Garnet .  Once I had her all complete , I remarked at the similarity Gila had with the seventies re-invention of DC's Wonder Woman , as the modly dressed adventuress Diana Prince . Back in the 40's Fiction House had created a comic book about a white women raised by Sioux indians called Firehair ( she was a redhead , of course ) , and " goodgirl " maven that I am decided I'd pay a bit of homage by nicknaming Gila " Firehair " , in my mind's eye I see her as a great great great grandchild of the wild west heroine .
