![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had an Armoury Version 1 body from a Funtoys Custom purchased on eBay that had come with one piece plastic boots , which required that the original Armoury feet and ankle connections be removed . This left the body with a rather simple solution to that dilemna , the customizer had snapped off the ankle posts . When I upgraded the custom to a new body this of course left me with a usable body with two small problems : no feet . I prefer the CG / PB ball and socket ankle post design , so when I decided to repair this body I had to come up with a way to create that style of foot reparation . Within my body parts bin I had the legs from some Yamato figures , and upon examination of those legs I saw that they were of a PVC type plastic with thick post holes in them to allow insertion of the Yamato foot posts . The Yamato legs are similar in design to Hasbro GI Joe legs , in that they are strung hip joints ( which while adequate don't allow for bending the legs at the hip beyond 45 degrees ) . It seemed to me that were I to enlarge the post hole within the Yamato legs I could facilitate pushing in ball joint ankle posts thereby recreating a CG/PB ankle post cup , using the natural flex of the plastic to hold them in place tightly . I cut the Yamato legs to length which gave me a hole at the top as well as the foot connection at the bottom . I then drilled into the broken off ankle connection on the Armoury body removing the left behind ankle pin and created a pilot hole into the leg . A philips head screw was then screwed into this new pilot hole and the Yamato ankle sleeve was twisted onto the new screw post . At this stage I could have just reused the Yamato feet , but as I said , I prefer the ball and socket ankle joint . Using my dremel tool with a small ball grinding bit , I carved out the inside of the new ankle sleeve , just enough to allow forcing in the new ball joint and Viola ! popped in Ruby's new feet . ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Let's Paint ! | PaintinKini2 | Steve Zodiac Shockini Custom | Sword Making | Swordmaking1 | Swordmaking2 | WarhorsePreview | Simple Masks | EasyVelcro_fro | Cool Girl Wrist Conversion | samurai_saddle | DX Disaster | Fix It!
