 Without doubt , Cool Girl Blaze rocks , perhaps the sexiest CG created . She was my first choice for the enigmatic sidekick of Dallas Granger of the Wild Roses . There is some intangible quality to her look that screams " I am Indomitable " . As kitbashes go , she was amazingly simple , it was just a matter of finding the right costuming . The beginning came via the pastel green halter and flowered blouse , cannibalized from a Barbie figure . The duster came from Yamato's Bounty Hunter Kelly . I particularly wanted to play up the feminine aspect with " Doc " which is why I strove so to find very floral oriented costuming , as a character she is akin to one of Clint Eastwood's nameless gunslingers , a killer plain and simple . I played around a bit with her pants , first with brown and tan bellbottoms from a " My Scene " figure , then a pair of straight leg beige jeans from Barbie . I finally decided on the boot cut dungarees from Yamato's Bounty Hunter Hannah , which are a fairly fine example of doll costuming and some of the nicer replications of dungarees on the market , beautifully tailored with fine detailing . I flip flopped around on her head wear as well , gravitating from the suede straight brim hat from the FunToys Raider costume and a black traditionally styled comboy hat , eventually settling on the suede hat just because it looks so good on her . It also helps that the color ties in nicely with the bandolier and gunbelt as well as the winchester and her boots unifying her color scheme overall and giving her good color balance . I used some of Annu Yuri's alternate hands because the white gloves are not only feminine but add a certain sophistication to her appearance ( not to leave out that subconscious Girl Scout Dress Glove imagery ) . Hannah's winchester was a sharp looking gun and perfect for the character of " Doc " , and I also turned once again to The Toysmith , to outfit her with her tie down gunslinger rig and bandolier . The Toysmith also has some fabulous Civil War Colt Revolvers that I'll have to get for " Doc " as well .   Cool Girl Blaze is kind of the theme figure of this page it would seem . This time around she contributes just her head tho ' . Despite calling this figure Sheena , she's not a strict interpretation of the legendary golden age comic book Jungle Goddess rather she's an amalgamation of the variety of " Sheena " imagery that exists ranging from the comics to the TV series ( Irish McCalla's that is , not the contemporary series ) . The figure is customized from CG Sky and Yamato's Kelly , cut apart and reconstructed to capture the proportions of Golden Age Good Girl art in favor of the modern day " hard body " look that stock Cool Girls possess . This was a fairly inexpensive custom to create beyond the purchase price of the figures used . The cheapest part being the spear which was created for the most by going into my backyard and finding an appropriate stick for the shaft . It's also a good example of the magic of paint to create an effective illusion ; the spear head is carved basswood despite looking like weathered iron . Sheet brass also makes great looking and inexpensive arm bands that are easy to create .
