 Collecting Takara Toys' Line of Ultra Sexy 1/6 Scale Female Action Figures |
 Based on the character of Motoko Kusanagi from Masamune Shirow's cyberpunk manga " Ghost In The Shell " , this limited edition mail order exclusive is a variant from the television series Ghost In The Shell : Stand Alone Complex . Despite the fact that I've never seen any of the Ghost In The Shell movies , nor read any of the manga , I'm a big fan of Masamune Shirow's work and his influence can still be seen in this figure . The face sculpt on this figure is exquisite , and the costuming is incredibly detailed . Wire inserts are enclosed in the overcoat for very dynamic action poses . A similar technique was utilized in the Cy Gear Law Enforcement Set for the Overcoat in that accoutrement set .   In 2037 A. D. a massive meteor shower brought all known civilization on earth to an end . Scientists discovered a hovering meteor within the large crater of Hong Kong Island and were able to tap the energy contained within it ; called " Zero Metal " , to rebuild society . Albeit a rather clannish feudal technocracy . Thus the stage is set for a line of powered suit action figures from a Hong Kong design firm known as dajoint . Yung Kwok Yin is the designer , a bit of a legend in Hong Kong , having singlehandedly created the first 12 " armored action figure " Zero Metal " in Hong Kong . Urika Gagarin ( note that Uri Gagarin was the first man into space , a russian cosmonaut ) is an enigmatic women claiming that she is from one of the surviving moon colonies . An interesting aspect of this figure is that her space suit gloves are bendy hands .  This is one of my favorite figures . Originally this was corporal Jammie Summers of the United States Army , part of Skynet Toys' " Lady's Mission " line of female Armoury action figures . For the most part these girls are uniform replica figures ranging from WWII to the modern era . They've got a Lady SS Officer I'm eagerly seeking . I purchased this figure solely to get her uniform , which I needed for another custom figure kit bash . I have a weakness for redheads , and I really was enthralled with the Mona Lisa expression on this gal's face , and having purchased Cool Girl Electra's cat suit some time earlier decided to let Jammie wear it so she wouldn't be embarrassed about having her army uniform taken away . The Lady's Mission doll bodies are similar to Cool Girl bodies , a bit more flacid chested than I like , so I swapped Jammie's for a Version 1.0 Cool Girl Body . Her shoulder armor is actually the knee pads from A.J. McLeod , her revolver is from Destiny and her carbine is from a BBI " Elite Force " weapons pack .
